  1. OnappVPS WHMCS module presets & configuration options ability

The issue is that with your OnappVPS WHMCS module, we have created VPS plans with preset CPU,memory, primary disk size, CPU shares, swap disk size, port speed, and included IPs. The module supports configuration options, which is good to allow us to allow the customer to order more IPs, CPU share, Memory and port speed if they want/need it during the a new order or VM upgrade process. The issue is that the module errors out when doing this, and according to developers you told them to program it like this, so it either has to be preset and the user…

  2. Dashboard statistics option to not include federation resources

In the Onapp GUI when you subscribe to remote federation clouds, it includes all of those resources on Dashboard statistics and its hard to tell how much you have of your own local resources left/in use. So I would like option to not include federation resources or to have a drop down or something to select which compute zones you want to include in the main dashboard stats for showing.

  3. I would like to see nano built in to the Linux rescue image. It's an easier text editor than vi.

Whenever I have to boot from a rescue image, and edit a file, I first have to install nano with yum. It would be nice if it was already in the rescue image.

  4. Introduce warnings about template upgrades

A lot of customers are not doing regular template upgrades, the upgrade screen is hidden, it would be a good idea to warn about available template upgrades on the dashboard or anywhere you see fit.

  5. Integrated storage features on virtual machine overview page

It would be helpful if the virtual machine overview page had some alerts if the underlying disks were, for example, not optimised for local read path or degraded and the ability to balance/resync were possible as currently it's a fairly complicated process to find where the VM would need to be placed to re-gain its local read path and the 'migrate virtual machine' option does not always place by default to a local read path HV.

  6. Show migration type in content balance check

Under the integrated storage diagnostics, content balance checks, 'Some VirtualServers are not placed in an optimal way', users have the option to migrate VMs automatically to regain the local read path but the UI does not show which type of migration will be performed, it would be a useful feature to show HotMigrate or ColdMigrate so the user can easily see if downtime is required.

  7. Allow editing of virtual disk size without VM operating system credentials.

As an IAAS provider, we don't always have credentials within the VM, but still need to expand virtual disks for our customers. It would be nice to be able to expand the size of a virtual disk without the need to enter credentials for the VM to expand the partition.

  8. Importing OVAs for vCenter requires up to 3x the size of the OVA to import successfully.

Aside from the configurable directory for storing templates, there is no way to specify which directory to use as temporary storage while it attempts to extract/convert the OVA. If you have a separate disk for the OnApp application and files, it defaults to using /tmp on the / file system for extracting/converting the OVA file. It would be preferred to have the tmp directory used for such processes to be within the OnApp installation directly instead of in /tmp which fills up the / file system.

  9. Improve Management for Basic Edge Gateways

OnApp allows managing some Basic Edge services (NAT, Firewall and VPN).

Add a possibility to manage all services (including Distributed Logical Routing) via OnApp

List of services to add - DHCP, Static Routing, Load Balancer.

  10. Pricing for Service add-ons

It should be possible to set a one-off fee for service add-ons.

  11. Enforce Service add-ons

Add an ability to enforce a service add-on so that it is automatically applied to a user VS. Also add an option to select which service add-on to enforce from any VSs within a vCloud Catalog item, or from the Templates within OnApp.

  12. Speedup auto backups by using existing instances of daily backups for weekly, monthly, yearly copies.

If there is configured a daily backups schedule, successfully created daily backup can be easily turned in to copies of other longer periods. No need wasting time and resources for creating separate instances executing weekly, monthly or yearly schedules. Just use existing daily copy instead of removing it on next turn.

  13. Provide an ability to disable or hide certain IP address within an existing IP range.

In some cases, we need to reserve ( hide or make disabled ) a single IP or multiple such IPs in the existing range. This is useful to prevent picking chosen IPs during new server creation. Applicable to some IPs which are temporarily not usable due to been blocked by spam defenders or attacked by a botnet.

  14. RAM price in GB

Migrate RAM prices to GB instead of MB. If we want to convert MB to GB then 1/1024 comes out to be 0.0009765625 which is 10 decimal points which breaks OnApp precision hard limit which is set to 8.

  15. Make LVM snapshot size configurable for backups

Currently, when a backup is created, a LVM snapshot of the disk is made. This snapshot has the same size as the original.

This means you need to leave a *lot* of free space on each data store. Since a backup will complete in a relatively short amount of time, the snapshot will never fill for more than a few percent.

So, I'd like to have smaller LVM snapshots when taking backups. Perferably a configurable percentage of the original disk size.

Lvm snapshot`s Create as full disk size. One moment 3-4 backup from one storage used 500-700 GB and…

Since SPLA has changed to cost per core vs cost per CPU, it is necessary to display core count vs virtual machine count under Software Licenses.

  17. Add the initial root password JSON key on the Rebuild API response

On the Build or Rebuild API response (https://docs.onapp.com/apim/latest/virtual-servers/build-or-rebuild-vs) it does not send the servers initial root password when called to rebuild the server.

OnApp by default resets the password to the initial root password set on the OnApp database on re-build, so it's better to include that password so we do not need to recall a different API to get the password.

Add a column in activity log with started or executed date and one with scheduled date (as "Date" is called now). This would make it easier to track different tasks and their progress.

  20. [WHMCS] Allow customization of VPS resources in client area

For customers selling VPSs using VPS Module, allow to upgrade resources of the VPS product, e.g. add RAM, disk space, ...

Allow the user to buy a predefined VPS product and, later, let them buy more resources directly from the clientarea of WHMCS.

Have you any suggestion on how to achieve this goal with the WHMCS modules you provided?
