Ability to create, download and upload full VM backups for multiple reasons.
On the one hand, if a new OnApp version is released, we would like to download and keep the necessary VMs safe and then upload them again to the new version.
On the other hand, our customers could kepp their VMs safe wherever they want without the need to trust our backup systems fully.11 votes
You can use our Backup Plugin System with one of the supported provides, such as R1Soft, to download a full backup of a virtual server. For more information, please see the documentation at https://docs.onapp.com/agm/latest/backup-plugin-system
The Linux backups are already stored uncompressed. You should provide a feature to restore specific files or directories within the backup instead of requiring a full server restore.5 votes
I would also suggest to use our Backup Plugin System with one of the supported provides, such as R1Soft, for a file level backup restore. For more information, please see the documentation at https://docs.onapp.com/agm/latest/backup-plugin-system
Please make the system auto-generate and auto-install free Let's Encrypt SSL certificates on the CP server so that expired SSL do not cause the CP server to be removed from the Federation or violate Federation policy.
There is no need for human intervention (or the support tickets that are manually generated from OnApp technical support reps, to OnApp's customer when it expires) when this can easily be fully automated.2 votes
What we want is to run Wowza in a VM with GPU acceleration. We know we can do this with vmware. But if we could do this with KVM/Onapp it would be awsome.
I would like this as well to compete against amazons Elastic GPU offering, allowing customers to have GPU time and memory.1 vote
