from time to time we are doing this dirty operation, and it is really annoying to directly update the database for that purpose.. that is a really required feature, we have to be able to choose between the long standing backups, like listing the long standing backups in descending order and allowing us to group them.

would be also good to allow us for non-backup time window.. which no backups will be running, so we can do ControlPanel restart or other maintenance operations..

What I mean with Borgbackup is that, stock Onapp Backup system is using Linux tar for the backup operation, onapp can easily replace Onapp Backup (literally Tar) with Borg Backup, since they are both CLI on linux,,
The End users will not see the difference but can restore files directly from the backups and can reach the history of backup files..

I will change the suggestion a bit, please give support for "borgbackup", that will solve this problem since you can get the list with no extract,

I would highly recommend to implement qcow2 , libvirt already has many functions that can be used with qcow2, like taking snapshots and reverting back to snapshots.. taking backups from snapshots.. Onapp api can also use this functionalities..

From my perspective those mentioned changes on the XML and the Kernel are the only required changes,

The VM's that are created inside the VS will be the responsibility of the customer then..

in your options 1 and 3 looks better, actually removing the default auto configuration for swap would be really helpful. (best is to remove swap option totally)

Onapp should not deal with the Swap partition operations,

We already created a script for disk-migration, but the problem is with the VM' properties.. you need to create them manually.
